AUTHOR'S GUIDELINE
GUIDELINES FOR ICWET 2026 AUTHORS:
1. Paper Originality and Uniqueness
a. All submitted papers must present original, previously unpublished research results, either experimental or theoretical.
b. The papers should not have been presented or published elsewhere. Authors must ensure their paper is free of any content previously published in journals, conference proceedings, or online platforms.
c. An originality report (e.g., Turnitin) is required to be submitted along with the full paper, and a similarity score exceeding 30% will not be accepted.
2. Language
a. Papers must be written in either English or Malay.
b. Submissions in any other language will not be accepted.
c. The title, abstract, and keywords must be in the selected language, and the paper should maintain high language quality. Authors are encouraged to proofread their work or seek language support to ensure clarity and precision.
3. Paper Publication in Multiple Languages Papers should not be published under the same title in multiple languages. Submitting the same research in different languages (without meaningful differences in content) is considered unethical and may lead to the rejection of the paper.
4. Submission and Review Process
a. Authors are required to submit abstracts and full papers via the official ICWET 2026 submission form on the website.
b. All papers will undergo a blind review process. Authors will receive feedback for revisions if necessary.
c. Acceptance or rejection notifications will be sent to the corresponding author via email.
d. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their paper complies with all submission requirements before submission. Late submissions or failure to follow the guidelines may result in automatic rejection.
e. Authors must make amendments to their papers based on the feedback provided by the reviewer.
f. For major correction papers, authors will be given additional time to make revisions, and the papers will be sent to the panel for a second review. A second major correction will result in automatic rejection.
5. Paper Formatting
a. Authors must use the official paper template for abstracts and full papers, which can be downloaded from the website.
b. Ensure that your paper is within the specified word and page limit (usually 8-10 pages, including references, figures, and tables).
c. Proper use of headings, subheadings, tables, and figures is essential for clarity.
d. Ensure that all figures and tables are labelled and referenced in the text. The resolution of figures should be high enough for clarity when printed.
6. Ethical Standards and Plagiarism
a. Authors are expected to adhere to the highest standards of ethics in research. Plagiarism, fabrication of data, or any form of unethical conduct will result in automatic rejection of the paper.
b. Authors should properly cite all sources used in their research and ensure they have permission to use any copyrighted material.
c. Any conflicts of interest or funding sources should be disclosed in the acknowledgements section of the paper.
7. Presentation at the Conference
a. Presenter are required to submit a pre-recorded video for presentation and attend the conference for the Q&A session with the panel. The co-authors can replace the presenter for the Q&A session, but only registered presenter will receive the presenter certificate.
b. Presenters will be given a specific time slot for their presentation. Please note that the presentation schedule is subject to change.
c. Presentations should not exceed the allotted time (typically 15 minutes), followed by a 5-minute Q&A session.
8. Final Paper Submission
a. The revised paper must be submitted, incorporating the feedback from the reviewers.
b. Final papers must be submitted by the deadline for inclusion in the conference proceedings.
c. All final submissions will be reviewed for compliance with the formatting and ethical guidelines before publication.
9. Copyright and Permission By submitting a paper, the authors agree to grant the conference organizers the rights to publish the paper in the conference proceedings and related materials. Authors retain copyright over their work but agree that ICWET 2026 has the rights to distribute and present it as part of the conference.
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
1. ABSTRACT FORMAT
Title
The title must be written in bold, using fourteen point Times New Roman font, and centered.
Author(s) Name
The full first name of the first author, full second author, and last author must be provided.
The font should be ten point Times New Roman and centered.
Author’s Affiliation and Mailing Address
The affiliation and complete mailing address must be written in ten point Times New Roman font and centered.
Example:
¹²³Department of General Studies, No. Four, Jalan Politeknik, KKIP Barat, Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park, Politeknik Kota Kinabalu, Eight Eight Four Six Zero Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
Corresponding Author’s Email
The corresponding author’s email address must be written in ten point Times New Roman font and centered.
Example: abc123@polikk.edu.my
2. ABSTRACT BODY
Abstract Heading
The heading “Abstract” must be written in twelve point Times New Roman font, bold, and justified.
Abstract Text
The abstract must consist of two hundred to two hundred and fifty words.
The text should be written in ten point Times New Roman font, justified, with single line spacing.
No scientific symbols, acronyms, numbers, bullet points, or lists are allowed.
3. ABSTRACT CONTENT REQUIREMENTS
The abstract should contain:
1. Introduction & Problem Statement – Explain the research problem or issue.
2. Methodology – Describe the approach used for the study.
3. Findings/Results – Summarize key outcomes or expected results.
4. Conclusion & Significance – Highlight the importance and contribution of the study.
KEYWORDS
• Maximum of 5 words, separated by a semicolon (;).
• 10-point Times New Roman, italic.
• Example: Education; Innovation; Technology; Policy; Research
4. FORMATTING REQUIREMENTS
• Page Size: A4 (21 x 29.7 cm / 8 x 11 inches).
• Margins:
o Top: 3 cm
o Bottom: 2.54 cm
o Left/Right: 2.54 cm
• Font: Times New Roman.
5. SUBMISSION PROCESS
• Submit the abstract via the official Google Form
• Authors will receive a notification email regarding acceptance or required revisions.
• Upon acceptance, authors will receive:
o An acceptance email.
o A link for full paper submission and payment details.

6. IMPORTANT NOTES
• If the manuscript is written in Bahasa Malaysia, an English abstract is required before the Malay abstract.
• Ensure the abstract is original and has not been published elsewhere.
• Only accepted abstracts will proceed to full paper submission.
• The conference committee reserves the right to reject abstracts that do not meet the guidelines.
FULL PAPER SUBMISSION
1. Paper Formatting Requirements
• Title: Bold, 14-point Times New Roman, centered.
• Author(s) Name: Full First Author$^1$, Full Second Author$^2$, Last Author$^3$ (10-point Times New Roman, centered).
• Affiliation & Mailing Address: 10-point Times New Roman, centered.
o Example: $^{1,2,3}$Department of General Studies, No. 4, Jalan Politeknik, KKIP Barat, Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park, Politeknik Kota Kinabalu, 88460 Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

2. Abstract

3. Figures, Tables, and Equations
Tables
• Format: 10-point Times New Roman, centered.
• Title Placement: Above the table.
Figures
• Label: Refer as Fig. 1, Fig. 2, etc.
• Caption Placement: Below the figure.
• Resolution: 300 dpi for best quality.
• Example: Fig. 1. Example of figure (10-point Times New Roman, centered).
Equations
• Indent: 5 mm (0.2 inches).
• Numbering: Number sequentially, with numbers placed at the right margin.
• Example: $c^2 = a^2 + b^2$.
4. Language Requirements
• Manuscripts must be in English or Bahasa Malaysia.
• If written in Bahasa Malaysia, an English abstract is required before the Malay abstract.
5. References
• Follow APA (7th Edition).

6. Submission & Review Process
• Submission: Via the official Google Form (link provided on the conference website).
• Notification: Acceptance or required revisions will be sent via email.
• Review Decisions:
o Major Correction: Requires substantial revisions in content, methodology, or formatting; may require a second round of review.
o Minor Correction: Issues with grammar or technical aspects; no additional review required after resubmission.
o Rejected: Does not meet academic quality, originality, or conference relevance.

7. Important Notes
• Ensure paper format and margins strictly follow the guidelines.
• Only accepted papers will be included in the proceedings.
• Authors must obtain permission for reusing tables or figures from other publications.
• The conference committee reserves the right to reject non-compliant papers.
• Acknowledgment Section: Include funding sources, if applicable.
CAMERA-READY SUBMISSION
Authors are required to revise their papers in accordance with the reviewers’ comments and submit the corrected version within the specified timeframe. The following guidelines must be adhered to:
– Ensure that all revisions are made based on the reviewers’ feedback.
– Submit the corrected paper within the given deadline.
– The final decision regarding publication will be subject to the evaluation of the revised submission.
– The journal committee may contact the authors for further revisions if necessary.
